It’s been a week since Jamar Clark was killed. I’ve been out to the precinct every night since then. What I’ve come to realize is that I continue to be at the precinct because that community, that space, is what police precincts should be like everywhere.
If police truly worked to serve people and protect the community, they would be offering free food and warm clothing to the neighborhood constituents year round.
